Real People – Real Stories
When We First Saw Each Other… I Don’t Think Anything Will Ever Replace That Memory
How They Met…
Well funny story…
Josh was a patient and I was a dental nurse at an orthodontic practice.
We saw each other every few weeks and barely talked until accidentally meeting out one night.
We’d be lying if we said it was love at first sight…
But there was definitely something about Josh from the start…
I just couldn’t put my finger on it!
The Moment They Knew The Other Was ‘The One’…
Josh says he knew I was ‘the one’ when he realized I was different to anyone else he had met and he just couldn’t figure me out.
For me I think it was one morning cooking pancakes listening to Jack Johnson play when I thought I could spend the rest of my life with him.
How He Asked…
Will You Marry Me?…
Josh popped the question Christmas day 2014…
After being unusually stressed in the week leading up to Christmas, he distracted me with a big bunch of red roses and bottle of champagne…
…only for me to find him on one knee with a diamond ring!
Their Special Day…
We got married on the 21/5/16 at Woodstock Winery Mclaren Flat. It was a beautiful sunny day in the vineyards, surrounded by 60 of our family and friends.
I wore my Grandma’s wedding dress, which she first wore in 1955, while Josh sported a tweed style woolen suit channeling his English roots.
I wouldn’t say we had a theme as such, we went with the natural décor of the winery and added a few extra touches such as native flowers and fairy lights.
Our favourite moment of the day was when we first saw each other from the end of the red carpet… I don’t think anything will ever replace that memory.
Followed closely by our Dad’s speeches and being surround by our dearest friends and family.
